So it has been a while since my last blog. Things have been very busy around here not to mention we got a new camera and I had to wait for Sean to put the program on the computer.
Quinn's birthday was great. The actual day of Sean took the day off and we spent it with Quinn. We took him to his Doctor's appointment. He is still very skinny but we are working on it. Nothing to alarmed about he just would like to snack all day rather than actually eat a meal. The last three weeks have been much better! He loves fruit and eats fruit for one meal a day! He is also cutting more teeth now and again is having a rough time. He is getting two of his bottom back teeth and his top right tooth.
Quinn's vocabulary to expanding daily. He says such words as ball, balloon, bubbles, bye, baby, hey babe, momma, Dada, papa, hi, puppy, potty, yucky, ducky, broom, Ernie, and bite. Seriously it is crazy how much he talks. He answers your yes and no questions with nodding his head. He is turning into a trouble maker and at times Sean and I really have to hold the laughter back! He runs like crazy everywhere he goes!
Sean had the week of the 8th off so we decided to go to the zoo. We went on our anniversary and had so much fun and plan to take Quinn back at the end of the summer. Quinn meowed at all the animals since I think he thought that if they had fur they were a cat. He loved all the kids running around and he really like the seals swimming over us! He really did so much better than either of us expected. He still amazes us daily!!
On Saturday Sean and I got Quinn a potty since every time we change his diaper and ask him if he has to pee he does. He has went on the potty at least 3 times a day since. We thought that we are not pushing the issue just when we change his diaper we will put him on it and see what happens. Today he didn't really like it because he sat to far back and then bonked him head on the wall. He has pointed to the potty a few times when he has had to go when we were not changing his diaper so Sean and I are hoping maybe this will be the one thing that goes "easy" for us since eating and sleeping we have struggled with.
Sean is doing well. He is happy he still has his job since his plant was closed. He is transferred to a different plant still in Detroit but all of his co-workers are transferred to Three Rivers. He is only one of four engineers left at his plant. We have decided that as long as Quinn is not in school we will roll with the punches and take this as an adventure and if we have to move at some point we will.
I am doing well too. I love staying home with Quinn and getting to play with him everyday. Quinn and I do activities with Mom's Club and spend time with the other kids and moms. It is great for him and myself and we both look forward to the events.
Quinn and I have been enjoying the pool. We actually swam 3 different times today. He is such a water baby! Our family is patiently waiting for our new nephew to arrive and can't wait to see his little face in September!! We do have fun things planned for the summer with Mark's wedding coming up, pool parties, and trips to friends and family's houses! It just can not get any better than this....can it?
